Alabama Interfraternity Council

The Alabama Interfraternity Council (IFC) serves as the governing body for the 34 mens social fraternities at the University of Alabama, many of which are affiliated with the North American Interfraternity Conference (NIC). Alabama National Pan-Hellenic Council

The Alabama National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) is the coordinating council for the nine historically African American Greek-lettered organizations, often referred to as the “Divine Nine”. Of the Divine Nine, the Alabama NPHC has four fraternities and four sororities. NPHC organizations are committed to community service and support academic excellence for members, providing scholarships and programming. Alabama United Greek Council

The Alabama United Greek Council (UGC) is the governing body for ten special interest fraternities and sororities. UGC exists to enable member organizations to share ideas and resources, promote mutual respect and equality, and provide a support network for students on campus. Greek Ambassadors

The Greek Ambassadors are students selected to serve as official ambassadors of the Greek Community for the University. Representing all four councils at UA, the Greek Ambassadors provide prospective undergraduates and their families with insight into joining the Greek Community. This unique program allows for potential students to meet with a current Greek chapter member, learn about their experience and the benefits of Greek Life, and ask any questions they may have to aid in their college decision making process.

 

Greek Programming Board

The Greek Programming Board (GPB) is a student-led organization that aims to unite the Greek Community at UA. They strive to foster unity amongst all four councils through service initiatives, while providing the community with comprehensive educational programming, ethical leadership development, and campus-wide events.
