A Letter from the Directors of Recruitment

Roll Tide & welcome to The University of Alabama!

We are so excited to introduce you to your collegiate and Panhellenic experience during your first week at Bama. Here at the Capstone, we are proud to be a part of the nation’s largest and most diverse Greek community. Your decision to join a Panhellenic sorority is one that commits you to collegiate years focused on service, connection, personal development, and a continued goal of improving our campus and community. College lasts for four years, but the memories you will make and the bonds of sisterhood you will gain last for life.

Over the course of recruitment week, you may see yourself in one chapter or another; you may think you already know where you want to run home to on Bid Day. We encourage you to keep your mind open to opportunity in every chapter that you see. You are not just joining a single organization, but a whole community of Panhellenic women, who are excited to get to know you and welcome you with open arms.

Here at the Capstone, you will have so many opportunities to get involved and thrive. Each one of our organizations adds unique value and meaning to the Greek experience at UA. We believe that Greek life is simply a stepping stone to facilitate your personal development and involvement in organizations across campus; our hope is to support other communities on campus in addition to our own members.

If you have any questions about Primary Recruitment, please feel free to reach out to us at alabamarecruitment@gmail.com. The Panhellenic Executive Council will be stationed on Sorority Row right outside of the stadium and available all week - come see us if you have any questions or if you just want to talk about how your week is going. We are here to listen, serve you, and make sure that you have the best Recruitment experience possible!

Remember to enjoy this week; take a breath, be authentic, seek out a chapter that encourages your growth and whose values align with your own. Choose to surround yourself with women who challenge you, champion you, and inspire you for the better, and commit to being that woman for your sisters and this community. We are so blessed to add to our Panhellenic Association and excited for you to begin this journey!

We can’t wait to see you!
